:. Visit visas, hotels and transportation in Dubai

Sent by: Abraham

Message:

I am planning a trip to Dubai to make some business contacts. I am based in Athens. I had a brief look at your website and the UAE visa requirements but am still a little unsure as to whether I can just turn up for a few weeks and contact a few companies.

I have a UK passport and wondered if that would be a problem.

Is there any facilities or information that you provide for any accommodation when I arrive, or do you have any special arrangements for any business flights I can purchase.

Any information would be desirable.

Sincerely
Abraham

As a British passport holder, you just need to arrive and will get a 30 day visit visa stamped on your passport.  The same applies to Greek passport holders.  There is no need for further paperwork or arrangements.

I cannot provide you with information on accommodation as there are hundreds of options from 3-star to 5-star hotels, hotel apartments and others.  It would be advisable to try to find accommodation which is close to the majority of clients you intend to visit, due to the size of the city as well as the immense traffic problems. Flight arrangements, again, vary from airline to airline.  The community is not yet developed enough to provide such support.  I would recommend you contact your travel agent or search the internet.

If you will be there for more than a few days, I would suggest that you rent a car as it can be difficult to find taxis at peak hours, and the costs will pile up.  I recommend companies such as Budget as they provide a No-Deductible Insurance Policy which means that you would have no hassles in case of any accidents (bumps and scrapes are common, no matter how good a driver you may be) and no surprise charges.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Best regards,
Eugenia
