D) BUSINESS EXPERIENCE

01/06 – recently SCHAEFER HELLAS S.A as a GENERAL MANAGER.
The company operates in the field of warehousing systems, acting as the sole distributor of SSI- SCHAEFER (DE) and others. So far I managed to increase the turnover of the company by 59,5% with relative positive impact on the profits before taxes.

09/00 – 12/05 SPRAY PACK S.A. (Private Label products & contract manufacturers). As a GENERAL MANAGER
The company is among the leaders in the field of manufacturing private label products of various categories (cosmetics, body care and household products, detergents, etc.),for NESTLÉ, SARA LEE, PROCTER&GAMBLE, AB VASSILOPOULOS, CARREFOUR, DIA and others. The company was sold to other investors.

08/97 – 08/00  MINERVA S.A. (underwear manufacturers), as a COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR
The company, listed on the Stock Exchange of Athens, holds a leading position in the Greek market.
From my post I contributed essentially to the company (sales volume and profits) growth as well as to the business processes re-engineering.
Established export business in Belgium, Germany, Cyprus, FYROM, Serbia & Russia and developed new product ranges.
I was responsible for the following departments-operations:
• Marketing Department
• Sales Department
• Logistics Department (which entailed all company warehouses,transportation of  goods and customer service)
• Exports’ Department.

12/95 – 07/97  AXXON UKRAINE S.A.  (Cosmetics, consumer products and batteries).
GENERAL MANAGER (Interim Manager)
The company was located in Kiev – Ukraine acting as the sole distributor of «GERMANOS» batteries (TOSHIBA & SUNLIGHT) with a marginal sales turnover and commercial activity in general.
In a very short period we developed essentially the business. We entered into co-operation with the multinational company JOHNSON & JOHNSON (cosmetics-consumer products) and established Business Units in six (6) more Ukrainian cities in spite of the well known difficulties of the Ukrainian environment.

12/90 – 11/95  PERFETTI HELLAS S.A. (chewing gun, candies, etc)
I initially joined the company as a COMMERCIAL MANAGER for Greece.
In May 1993 I was promoted to the post of  the INTERNATIONAL AREA MANAGER ,reporting to the Board of Directors of the mother company PERFETTI S.p.a.,(in Milano –Italy), with area of responsibility, apart from Greece, the following countries:
CYPRUS,RUSSIA,POLAND,BELARUS and the BALTIC STATES.
In the above countries I established, from scratch, subsidiaries of PERFETTI S.p.a. (Italy) and developed business on a contractual basis with local distributors. I developed and propose Business Plans, strategies and budgets, recruited and supervised the local personnel and their management.

In Greece, the sales turnover of PERFETTI HELLAS S.A. in 1990 was – as evidenced by the respective official Balance Sheets- was 2.338.031.000 DRA.,while by the end of 1994 was increased to 5.027.276.000 DRA.During this period the increase in profits was proportional.

02/81 – 11/90  BRISTOL HELLAS ABEE  (consumer products division, i.e. cosmetics etc)
NATIONAL SALES MANAGER
Main fields of responsibility: developing sales strategies, action plans and budgets,as well as the development of the proper sales organizations and structures to achieve the company objectives.
As a National Sales Manager I reported to the Divisional Director. From January 1990 to November 1990 I reported directly to the General Manager.
Beginning 1990, I was invited to visit the international headquarters in New York (U.S.A.), among the eight (8) best Sales Managers of the group and was trained to Marketing Management and Marketing issues.

E) PAST, SECONDARY ACTIVITIES

As a part-time tutor I co-operated with ĹË.ĘĹ.ĐÁ. (The GREEK CENTER OF PRODUCTIVITY) from 1986 to 1990, in Sales, Marketing and Management courses.
In the same period I was also involved in training courses of the above type organised by private institutions.

F) INTERESTS – HOBBIES

Apart from keeping myself updated with the current trends in the management science, I am also very much interested in Archaeology & Fine Arts.

Keeping pace with the new developments in the field of information technology and modern management is very important to me.
