Arcane Consultants is a small mystery shopping company spreading our wings across the UAE and eventually across the Middle East. We are growing at a rate that is faster than what we can handle which is why we need an extra hand, eventually two, in order to take us to the next level. We provide store-level, customer experience information for restaurants, retailers, automobile showrooms and the financial and hospitality communities. Services include mystery shopping, merchandising audits, customer satisfaction surveys (on-line and phone-based) as well as analytic packages to enhance the overall value of the data collected.

 

Arcane Consultants is seeking a seasoned sales professional in order to expand its reach among more industries seeking to improve the customer experience. The main focus of this position will be to sell our Mystery Shopping programs. The Sales & Business Development Executive will have the responsibility for developing relationships and closing business with Finance Directors, General Managers as well as Directors and CEOs at prospective client companies. Local travel will be required for sales presentations and visits to prospective clients. This position reports to the Business Development Manager and the Director. It requires strategic selling skills, a blend of lead generation, prospecting, business acumen and creativity. Also required are strong time management skills and the ability to interface effectively at multiple levels. This position is targeting new business, and managing existing relationships.

40% of the time will be spent in the office and 60% will be spent on meetings outside the office.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cold call, prospect and acquire new business leads to develop a solid pipeline of sales opportunities in restaurants, retailers, automobile showrooms, financials and hospitality, among other businesses
  • Follow up on internal leads
  • Identify and establish contact with decision makers as well as to build relationships
  • Present and sell customer experience measurement services, mystery shopping services each year to drive top line revenue growth
  • Clearly articulate our compelling value proposition in a client-focused context
  • Determine client needs and gauge interest in mystery shopping and market research services
  • Work with team members in Marketing to develop a winning sales strategy for potential clients.  Work with other internal colleagues (operations, client services, finance et al.) to design profitable programs
  • Effectively present our companyís capabilities in formalized presentations both on the phone and in person
  • Develop and negotiate contracts with program parameters
  • Negotiate Pricing structures with existing clients
  • Develop profitability and volume with existing client programs
  • Networking and developing industry knowledge and expertise
  • Client Satisfaction Management
  • Attend customer service speeches and other useful network events
  • Other duties as required

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorís degree, preferably in Business Management; however, a proven track record in sales will be taken into consideration over the degree
  • 3+ years direct, outside sales experience in the UAE and a proven track record of selling consultative services from small to large corporations
  • Must have 3+ years selling research/information services products or experience selling to: Retail, Restaurant, Banking, Hospitality, Automobile Showrooms, etc.
  • Comfort in a computerized environment are essential; a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point Presentation, Email and the Internet and sales contact software is mandatory
  • Above average written and strong oral communication skills and VERY HIGH attention to detail
  • Professional presentation experience
  • Creativity and excellent time management skills are essential
  • Outstanding organizational skills are a must
  • Excellent skills in public speaking
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast paced environment. Must also be an active member of the team
  • Enthusiasm, energy and a goal/results-oriented attitude are prerequisites
  • Success in this position lends itself to career advancement within the organization
  • A valid UAE drivers license
